Com quatro meses de atraso, o Emmy Awards finalmente foi realizado. A premiação teve de ser adiada por causa da greve de roteiristas e atores no ano passado. Mesmo assim, o luxo e o glamour prevaleceram. O mais importante foram os premiados no Emmy, com destaque para Succession e O Urso. As produções foram o grande destaque da noite.
A série Succession, da HBO Max, liderou com 27 indicações, levando seis estatuetas. Já a produção O Urso (FX) também foi premiada em seis categorias. Outro destaque ficou com a série Treta, da Netflix, que levou quatro estatuetas.
